I'm a professional storyteller with a focus on international travel, exchange, and impact. I have over 15 years of working experience in the field with knowledge of living, working, and traveling in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa.
My Story
My story as a lifelong traveler began when I was a child just shy of two years old. I distinctly remember walking down the aisle of an airplane and, my hand in my mother's, stepping through the archway of the open cabin door. My eyes were greeted above by striking green hills and overcast skies above and below by a row of beautiful dark-haired men and women waiting to greet me on the tarmac. My family had just landed on Oahu, Hawaii, and I had just formed my earliest living memory.

My family would live there for several years before heading off to the familiar yet foreign island of Okinawa, Japan. Those formative years on these gentle isles left an indelible mark on my psyche, igniting a lifelong curiosity about our diverse and beautiful world.

This space is where I share the intersections of my personal and professional paths - as a communications specialist, multi-media storyteller, and seasoned traveler. Let’s connect and explore a world where every story begins with a journey.
Meet Zaria
I currently serve as the Communications and Impact Lead for TechWomen, an international exchange program that empowers emerging women leaders in STEM from across the globe. My work focuses on crafting compelling stories, reporting long-term impact, and highlighting the transformative power of mentorship and cultural exchange.

In my journey to this role, I taught and led English language programs in Brazil, Paraguay, and Vietnam. Upon returning to the U.S., I moved to Washington D.C., where I spend the next decade teaching, advising and directing programs for international students, professionals, and diplomats from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.

I am skilled in communications and media management, content creation, and cross-cultural storytelling, building bridges between people and ideas.
